Overload!

Dear Family,

You all ready for this one I have a lot to tell ya so I will go ahead and go in order from changes onward...
So finally Elder Marriott and I got split up we knew it was coming though, but the craziest part is he LEFT!!! not ME so I am still here in Cuidad Dlegado, I am going on change five here, I am not sure how I feel about it, but I will trust that the Lord knows why..The Lord did answer one of my prayers though I got a Latino companion!! which for that I am so happy!! He is from Guatemala!!  His name is Elder Mansilla.

So it is great, and even crazier I have known him my whole mission we have been in the same zone twice, he is great and super fun but such a great worker!! What is even crazier is he is going home in April, so we both have time in the mission which could be great! We have some great goals, big but reachable! So we are going to work so hard this change, with our time, and faith and diligence to work I know we can reach them!! So we will see what the Lord says and do all that we can!!
Also, I had been talking to a menos Activo who we are trying to reactivate, and she was asking about the foods here and what I liked and what I wanted to eat and stuff, and I told her I wanted to try iguana eggs!! And what do you know she called me Saturday and said she found some and we went over and we cooked them!! IT was AWESOME!! They kinda are like chicken eggs!! I will send pictures.

So that is about all I have for this week, we to have an lady who had a baptism date coming again to church she is so ready for baptism - we just have to get her married first and her husband doesn`t want to right now he wants to wait until after his eye surgery, which means she would have to wait until April, so we pray that we can convice him that he needs to get married now and not later to recieve those blessings! So we will see what happens there!!
Thanks everyone for your love and support!!
I love you mother to the moon and back and then some!!
Have a great week and I love you guys!!
Con mucho amor,

Did I tell you????

Dear Family,

So as you can see, I believe I left something out last week in the email that we had planned this past weekend that was freaking awesome!! We had a baptism!!!!!! WHAT?!?!? Yes, we finally got it, the guy is great, I will tell you his story, it is rather a miracle as to how it all happened.
So over a month ago I was on interchanges with an Elder and we went to visit some less actives and Rene(who was baptized) was there, he is family of them, and we taught them and got to know him and he told us he was a member and he would go to church. I didn`t think much of it but sure enough he was at church that following Sunday. The interesting thing is not one member there remembers him and he doesn`t remember them, so we started to get a little more suspious, so we looked up some records and we could not find them any where!!! So we talked to him about it and he was baptized but in another church he just remembers going to the church with his family who really are members. So soon as we figured that out we realized that he had a testimony we just had to help him reconnect with it and find it again, and in the water he went!!!! It was so great and he asked if I would do it!! It was so sweet and such a wonderful experience and such a humble man!! So we are very grateful for him and the Lord`s help in getting a baptism this change together with changes now on Wednesday its okay if we get split up cause we baptized together, Elder Marriott and I. So it was such an awesome day for us and we loved it so much!!!!! That is how my week went just getting Rene all ready and working with Assistants to the Presidente and Zone leaders doing interchanges with them and what not, learning so much out here it is so freaking great! So grateful for the mission and the time I get to be out here in the Lord`s vineyard!
Well mother I love you to the moon and back and then some, I love you all so much and I hope you all have a great week!!
Take care!!!

Receiving Personal Revelation

Dear family,

Well this week, was a rather tough one as I was seeking revelation personla, with that decision on when I should come home. I studied so hard because I truly do love the work and the people here like you have no idea, like I would love to bring you guys down and you can meet them and spend time here and I know you too would fall in love with it!
Also, if I was to go home in July I would be extending my mission, not by much but I would have to ask for permission. So I took everything into account. So as I was studying some things started to come into my head, saying "confine en me", which in English means "trust in me." It was hard and I didn´t really understand at first but the more I pondered and studied, I felt and understood that I need to put my life in God´s hands. There is a reason he made it so I would be home in May not in July, as to why I am not sure yet, but I am putting my trust in him and letting him lead my life. So I am not extending my mission and I will be coming home the end of May. Believe me I have gotten a lot of grieve for it and what not but I truly feel its what the Lord has in plan for me! So it was a really great experience and one I won´t forget!
Also, as I read in the Book of Mormon there is something that has been calling my attention which is found in Alma 37:6-7. Where its talking about small and simple things bring to pass great and better things!! So maybe you all can read it, and ponder about it. Where are some of the small things that we can do to change that bigger and greater things will come to pass in our lifes for it?? Maybe its things that we want and like but are not in line with the Will of our Heavenly Father´s will! Just some things to think about. Thank you all for your love and support, have a great week!
I love you mother to the moon and back and then some.
I love you all, and have a great week, remember to never let your praying knees get lazy!! Con mucho amor,
Elder Leatherow

MOM:
Dear Elder,
I just read your letter home to the family and I am crying.  1. Because you are coming home 2. Because I can’t imagine the inner turmoil you were dealing with.  and 3. Because I am so proud of you for putting your trust in our Father in Heaven.  You are truly an example of a Son of God.
I love you to the moon and back and then some!
Love,
mom

WES:
thanks mom, it was seriously so hard there is only one other missionary going home with me everyone else in my group is extending and going home in July. So believe me we have heard it all cause we had a multizone and we got to see a lot of our group and during lunch that was a main subject that got passed around....

2015

Dear Family,

Wow!!! Can you all believe that we are now in the year 2015?!?! I am so shocked it does not fill like a year passed by to me at all!! I hope you all celebrated big and were able to enjoy yoursleves!! We did the same thing as Christmas went and visited members and some investigators and ate so much food it was crazy!! It was so good though! We did get turkey sandwhiches though this time!! We are doing good here in El Salvi.
This week was really rough because we now go to church at 1 in the afternoon until four! So that has always been a rough hour for me and where there is no AC it really gets so hot inside and you fight that afternoon tiredness even worse! We were able to have a new investigator though in the church with us so that was pretty cool!! The only thing is that, she is rather interesting!! I say that because she can not talk nor hear  good at all!! So we teach by movies and pictures! I am so excited that she came though I mean that is probably so boring for her in church but I know she can feel the spirit and that is all that matters! So I am sure that is huge part of it!!!
We are trying to reactive her family first and then hopefully see her baptism come because the only way she goes is if they go and they went so it's a process but it is coming!!
The other cool thing is I am pretty sure and I have the faith that everyone in this District will enter the waters of baptism this month and probably even before next changes!! So we are so excited about that!! So we will have to wait and see what the Lord says and these great people of Cuidad Delgado!
We were able to make contact as well with two more families this week and they are very positive and they both are reading the Book of Mormon and have so many questiones that is so promising so we will see what happenes with them and that family I talk about is so close but some things got said I think by family members that set them back and making them doubt a lot...so we are praying hard that they will get have faith and become members within two weeks!!
Well family that is all I have for ya this week!!
Love ya mother to the moon and back and then some!
I love you all so much and take care!!!!
con mucho amor,
Elder Leatherow
